Kade
No no no... the question is what would YOU do? Put an RF T1 10" in a 4th order box and call it a day. I have no idea how to build one that would be functional and look good. In fact, I've never built a box before. 2009 Dodge Caliber SXT (Silver) Deck: Pioneer X3600BHS Amps: RF P1000X5 Front: RF P16-S Rear: RF P1694 Subs: 1 RF P3D2-10 Cabling: Stinger 6 channel RCA, RF 4gauge kit, SkyHighCarAudio 16gauge speaker wire. They have a sealed rear chamber, but the driver fires into an expanding pathway. Like all other enclosure types they have their advantages and disadvantages. Their biggest advantage is they are very efficient. A single 8" sub in a horn would walk all over a ported 12", at least over a certain frequency range. They can also have very good sound quality. Their disadvantages are they are big, that single 8" horn would be a good bit bigger than the ported 12" box. They are also very difficult to design, complex to build, and are very picky about what subs will work well with them. If you want to get loud on low power though and have space they can certainly do that. I've build a couple of these: http://www.billfitzmaurice.com/AutoTruckTuba.html They were fun to build, and are impressive for what they are.
