Is the wood ceiling screwed into the metal tubing? That's what it looks like but can't tell from picture to picture.

Yes. Each piece is kreg jigged to each other with epoxy in between. Then screwed and expoxy'd at each cross beam using #12 tek screws.

If you need any detailed pics just let me know.

Some updates from the weekend.

Finally got some SMD sunflash to try out. Awesome stuff!

Thanks UPS!

Using chop mat and a new industrial 8.5oz twill cloth. It drapes and forms really well for a thick cloth. Plus it looks really cool.

I really have no idea why the pics come out so huge. I size them down and they are still poster size.

Anyway, also picked up the Chauvet UV wash light to cure the resin. Works really well when you don't have any sunlight. Takes about 15 min to cure. Not bad considering it was about 25 outside and a little under 70 in the shop. Used an adjustable tripod from a work light and modified the mount to be able to put the light where I want it.

3 layers of chop and 1 layer of twill. Lays up real nice. Started on the other side but it isn't quite done yet. May add a few more layers, but it is already pretty solid, especially since it formed up on the wood.

Nothing that exciting for now. Should have it all sealed up well by next weekend. Also found out the 4x8" square cut out in the b pillar channels down to the open wheel well. Leaking a lot more air than I had thought. Most likely the source of the back window still being violent. Hopefully have some more testing done soon.

That seal looks great.

Thanks!

No more love?

Been busy this weekend so not a lot of progress. Got the driver side glassed in and starting the amp rack. Nothing fancy, he just wants a spot to mount the amps in front of the wall. Should have pics tonight or tomorrow.

On a side note, I think we are going to make plans to make turkey drag this year. I know it is a long way off, but so is the drive from ky to tx lol. Probably just bring 1 truck.
