Power Factor Calculation

So I doing some research on the concept behind real power and apparent power (VA). So from my understanding, I can solve for VA with a dmm and if I can calculate the power factor then the true power is just a simple algebraic calculation.

SO, how do you calculate PF without knowing the real power? Is the power factor just the efficiency of the amp?

You buy the AMM-1 LOL

Thats cool. Im way too old to be upset by shit like that. Your name is winston. Your own parents hated you even before you were born.

My penis is bigger than your penis

I'm far from loud and my roof/headliner flaps around like Adam's ass on a windy day. I think it depends more on the structure of the vehicle.

You look a the phase angle between the voltage and current.

You do it the hard way LOL

I know that is the easy way, but if there is a mathematical way to to do it, why not give it a shot right? I mean, that AMM-1 is just reading in data and running calculations, so it can't be impossible to calculate it without one. Whether it is cheaper or not is the real question.

But how do you calculate the phase angle then?

Inb4 math makes my brain explode.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

So basically you need to be able to measure the time it takes to get from the peak of the voltage node to the peak of the current node? Yeah, I do not think a dmm can do that lol

Basically you hook this up to your amp…
