magillaru
I'm trying to plan how I'm going to run my power/ground cables from the rear batt bank to the amp. My rear bank is going to be accessible but not the easiest to get to so I want to use aluminum distro bars to be able to disconnect when needed......going to be using dual inputs so 6 runs neg & 6 runs pos. Will this work? Positive: Rear batt bank > aluminum bar > fuses > amp Negative: Rear batt bank > aluminum bar > amp Singer Alternators Team Asshole #anothershittysingerbuild
MrSkippyJ
personally, I wouldn't want that many extra terminations. lots of chances to limit current and add resistance. magillaru
Yeah, me neither.......shit...... My main concern is if I have to disconnect the negative terminal to work on things, it's gonna be a pain in the ass....... EDIT: although that will save me a ton of time not having to make those distro bars and crimp more wire........ Rck'nRF
Isn't hooking the amp to the ground/metal on a vech's body better than running it from negative battery terminal like that?..
magillaru
What is your theory for why it would be better? Singer Alternators Team Asshole #anothershittysingerbuild

magillaru
But this from my rear bank to the amp...... Also, I'm going to be running ~10k so 6 runs of 2/0 welding cable will be much better than running to metal/chassis...... Am I missing something? *That video is exactly why I decided to do 2 neg runs and 2 pos runs from front to rear. MrSkippyJ
no i think you are good, video isn't for as much power as you are running.
