Subwoofer Dillema

This is my predicament i have loaded 12" BTL BNIB....if i keep the btl i can get it installed and ill be done with the system on april 19 (build date) or i can TRY and sell the btl and wait 3-5 weeks till i can save for 2 lvl 4's with lvl 5 coils... would this be a legit trade off?? would the lvl 4's sound better? would they get louder? would there even be very much difference between umm.. musicality..(is that a word?? haha) between the BTL and 2 lvl 4s? iv been without bass for a good 6 months and i hate it.

also its going into my gtx soo the box would have to be bigger which would reduce air flow...and would weigh more? (how much do lvl 4's weigh? and btls?) this is my delama

give me your 2 cents worth to help me make up my mind.

one of my main goals is to be able and bassrace 139.9 class :wub:

with 2 15"s lvl 4's ull be able to bassrace 139 no prob

i figure that most likely ill switch this summer when i start working more and gettng more money, but i just want some bass soo bad i dont want to wait...if i do keep the BTL for now i was thinking i could keep the same box and get a 12" lvl 5 ;) so you guys can see why im not sure what to do

i think he wants 12's but im not sure

but I think the 2 12's would end up being louder than one 12"....

Your choice... I say just buy another BTL 12 :D:rolleyes:

18's in a wall to come....Its not all about the posts....check the member #...

ya would prolly be 2 12's im not sure i can fit 2 15's in the right box... BTL/ lvl 4's/ lvl 5 will be run off 3000rms(ish)

I would say sell your btl and get the new btl coming out. if its going to be alot different.

that could be a option too later on when it comes out

what would be the possibility that i wont be able to bassrace the btl at 139? with my BL on about 1400rms and minimal testing i hit a 136.* to music and 138.* at 45hz...im hoping that a btl on 3k will be able to hit around a 141-142 to music...i hope.
