Steve What Kind Of Power Were You Getting Out Of Your 1501bds At 1 Ohm?

Steve I have 2 RF 1501BDs unmodded, at the moment I can only use one at a time.

Anyhow I run mine with sealed boxes at 2ohm.

One day I decided to build a ported box to test out some SPL subs and my only options were 1 ohm and 4 ohm so I ran the 1501BD at 1 ohm with the ported box and becuase of the impedence rise of the box I never went into protect but I sure notice how much more current it was pulling and how much more power it seemed like it was putting out.

Well I can't do any quailty wattage test becuase my system is pulling current to fast for me to use a DMM and an amp clamp to get real figures(except at 11 volts maybe) LOL.

So when you were running your modded 1501BDs at 1 ohm nominal what kind of power were you seeing?

P.S. I can't afford to buy one at the moment but I wanted to know if you still had any modded 1501BDs left?

I want to run 3 10s at 1.33 ohms instead of 2 and I don't want to mod the 2 I have.

( I just really love that amp)

I am getting ready to recone a set of RF HX2 10s can you recommend a glue for me to use and were to get it from?

Thanks for your time.

Iam sure his PMs are almost always full, hard to get ahold of him these days, unless you catch him chatting in thread

I have a ritual called "terminator". I crouch in the shower in the "naked terminator" pose. With eyes closed I crouch for a minute and visualize either Arnie or the guy from the 2nd movie. I then start to hum the T2 theme. Slowly I rise to a standing position and open my eyes. It helps me get through my day. The only problem is if the shower curtain sticks to my terminator leg. It sorta ruins the fantasy.

I tried to PM him I'm pretty sure it actually went though but I didn't think it would, thats why I started a thread.

I figured it would take acouple of days before I got an answer from him.(I know he is doesn't have alot of time)

But we just got our wires crossed on a forum so I don't know if he will write me back.

im here, i went out to dinner :)

im not 100% sure the actual power......birthsheets ranged from 1650 to 1750 @ 2 ohms and i had them all at .7 (dual .7's, one on each coil). My guess is, in a perfect world they were probably close to 2,000 watts each.

as far as glue, use black CA glue or a 2 part epoxy. The CA glue is easier IMO.
