BigManAC
Right now I have a D3400 upfront and a Singer 240A alt (hopefully will be receiving and installed soon). As far as voltage drop in not sure because my voltmeter quit on me and I haven't replaced it yet. The question is how much of a difference would it make if I added a D3400 in the rear? Should I go with another D3400 or one of the XP batteries? 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw
noobslayer77
from what i understand the d series batteries are more suited for burping and starting cars... they have more burst power available. I have a d3400 up front and an XP3000 in the back and have zero problems. I can play full tilt for around 10 minutes with the car off before i see below 12. When i was considering back battery, (d3100 d3400 or xp3000) i just called xs and they explained it to me. 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited 2 13w7s skar 3500 cnf mids (soon) xs batteries

ImaNoob
The d series can go under the hood and the xp are for inside the car...think thats the only difference in the ones you mentioned.. reserve always helps.. 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 Xs3400 1500BDCP FI BL 12 3sq @ 32hz Rockford t675 T400.2 Stinger Deadner Build Log Here

Yeah I know, I was just wondering if I should go with a XP series battery for the rear or another D3400 and if it made a difference in the one I chose. 2001 Saturn L200-Sony MEX-BT4100PFRONT STAGE:- (4) Crescendo PWX 6- Cadence XA250.2SUB STAGE:-Fi Audio BL 15 (Sealed Off)-Crescendo BC2kELECTRICAL:- Singer 240A alt - XS Power D3400- SkyHigh OFC power/speaker wire- Big 3 with SkyHigh 0gaugeBuild Log: Click HereScores: 146.5db @ 29hz Outlaw

noobslayer77
thats what i was told by whoever i talked to at xs before i bought one... he said the d3100's are better if youre going to compete and do burps and spl runs. 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited 2 13w7s skar 3500 cnf mids (soon) xs batteries

noobslayer77
XP series is only made for secondary battery applications and not made to be used under the hood. The XP series will give you the reserve capacity you need, but does not have the instantaneous power that the D series has. You would see a difference on the meter, but probably never hear the difference in a daily use/demo vehicle. so better for burping and spl runs 2004 Jeep Liberty Limited 2 13w7s skar 3500 cnf mids (soon) xs batteries
