Power Question, Will it be Enough?

Recommended Posts

I plan on having a Sundown SAZ-1200D (1x 1200+W) and a Pioneer GM-3400T (2x 60W)

I have a single run of 1/0 to the trunk and plan on distributing that into 2 4ga runs to the amps, will the single 1/0 run be enough to handle the power to the amps?

p.s i have a stock alternator (90A) and an AGM battery

If the current rating of the 1/0 meets or exceeds the current draw required by the amps then yes. Same with the 4ga

Also OP the length of the run matters, as well as the metallic composition of the wire, but I didn't go that much into it because you only have a 90A alt.

What brand and type of 1/0?

its stinger wire 50%cu & 50%cca

the run is shorter than 13'

btw im planning on upgrading to a 120A alt will that be enough?
