mrdavebasshead75
Wanting to put 24's on my 300C and I hear they pretty much bolt up in the rear, but for the front you have to shave the nut on control arm?? If this is true, will shaving that nut down weaken it somehow? Tire size is 275/25-24 http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/141026-2001-bravada-build-2-15supdated/?fromsearch=1 ----old build!! http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/194247-2005-chrysler-300c-buildslowwwww-lol/ -----new build!! Christopher Schulze
I had 24's on an 07 rt charger with the bolt shaved for 2 years with no issue
Broke_Audio_Addict
Of course shaving it down will weaken it doesn't mean it will weaken it to the point of being a safety issue. How much do you need to shave it down? That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals. Ahmed Johnson
You're probably still gonna need to get the front lifted. You might bottom out every time you hit a bump. Did they say anything about cutting out the plastic in your tire well? I'm almost positive you will have to do that. Also, 25s are gonna feel like being in a shopping cart going through a rocky alley. Plus being on some 24 inch rims you will probably crack or bend your rims fast. lifted_silverado
Holy shit, please dont do this, shaving plastic is one thing but thats just not a good idea. Save the money do it right. You're going to have a horrible ride on 25 series tires, risk of bottoming out against suspension/fenders, and then theres the safety issue. It sounds like people are trying to sound better than you when you hear it repeatedly but its truth, if it's worth doing its worth doing right. Why waste money for the flash of 4s when behind is a bunch of grinder modifications? Everythings in the attic or garage since the truck was sold last year. New build should be coming soon in a dodge cummins
Ahmed Johnson
I'd try and see if I could find a bolt with a smaller head. At the end of the day, you are going to want at least a lift. You'll be going back to that shop needing one after that bolt or the tire well takes out chunks of your tires. I would throw some 22"s on there with a bigger tire. knowledge
My dad had his 300 hemi with 24's and had to shave the bolt just a tad bit not to much for close to 3 years with not a single problem. is a easy mod to put 24's on I've seen worse. U should see what they do to put 26's. I honestly don't think u would have a problem considering the 3 people I know that did the same thing. These are just mods people do just like cutting up ur car to put let's say a blow through, we all know it weakens the body but do we care no, is just shit we do. Most people that comment have no experience with doing that mod. REFF'SMy linkEBAYhttp://feedback.ebay...ck&myworld=trueI love car audio so much because I will never be done. I can never win, and I will never get it finished or perfect. It always has me coming back for more, I can never get my fill of it, but I get what I need.
