Aftermarket subs with a Bose system...sound?

Recommended Posts

Was wondering if anyone here has added subs and kept their 9 speaker bose set up? I don't want to have to upgrade all my speakers and remove the factory amp at this time. I've already ordered most of my gear for the new set up, just wondering if the music will be heard over 2k watts and 2 15's

Well, you will be able to hear a lot more than somebody with the same sub set up and a stock 4 speaker set up lol. Just depends on ur taste/needs out of a system.

Edit: are you going to remove the stock sub?

Don't take for granted that you will be sending a clean signal to your amp. How do you plan to do this? Most Hi-Low converters that I have seen tested are garbage.

Levels can be adjusted so that your music is balanced, but you will most likely not be satisfied with the low end if you do.

I'm not using h/l convertors , I'm installing a Pioneer AVH-X4700BS with all the adapters to keep factory Bose (including woofer) system rear entertainment , and steering wheel controls. Running out the pre amps just like with any other h/u to sub amp

Or did you mean the h/l convertor for the h/u to bose amp? I was thinking you meant speaker l/o convertor

What are all the adapters?

You'll still need to convert something to go from HU to Bose amp, right? My Bose amp doesn't have any RCA inputs. I tapped the low level signal wire out of my OEM HU and route it thru a JL Audio Clean sweep to EQ and covert to RCA outputs.
