Quintine
I had a plan to do a budget build and then blew my budget. This is the first build I have ever done, never used fibreglass or done carpeting or anything audio related so some things are a bit rough Even so, pretty happy how it turned out. Was originally designed as a 4th order tuned at 64hz but designed in a way so I could convert to a series tuned 6th The 6th order conversion I am running now sacrificed a little bit around the 60hz range for alot of gains down low. It dips down to 19-20hz pretty reasonably now. It is currently tuned at 27hz and 64hz respectivly. Outer @ 2.2 cu F Center @ 2.6 cu F After displacement. I have a high output alternator sitting on my back seat that should solve my voltage issues (Current alt is on its way out) I would guestimate im getting about 1200-1300 watts to the woofers due to my cooked alternator. The new alternator will be dropped in soon. If you leave it till the last minute, it will only take a minute. bigmizzle99
Interesting design choices. Can you provide some details how that 4th is now a 6th, I'm a little lost on what you did there. Also, since it is a 6th order, by the very nature of a 6th, I wouldn't think you'd be able to hear anything around 20 Hz due to steep slope and rapid drop off. Quintine
The outer chambers are ported to the interior chamber via that port at top. Its handles down to 22-23hz pretty nice and starts to roll off down to 19hz (Where i would start losing cone control if i tried going lower) I seem to have some pretty reasonable cabin gain, also it loves having the windows open for the lows. Edit: Unfortunatly I dont have alot of pics of the 4th to 6th conversion. If you leave it till the last minute, it will only take a minute. Quintine
Got a few extra pics of box from interior of the car. I would like to seal the back from the front of the car, but im not entirely sure how to go about it. I would guess ill just silicone up the power runs and then im not too sure... some good ideas would help me a lot. http://imgur.com/a/PfsAS#0 If you leave it till the last minute, it will only take a minute. Quintine
Been pretty busy so haven't been able to do much at all, but finally got around to slapping a bit of dampening up the back. So many rattles have been squashed finally. Now I have to prepare to do a bit of work up the front preparing to install a VM-1 OD-1 and LC1 which im pretty keen about. Still need to finish sealing front to back have some good ideas of how to do it now. Just need the time. Sorry for the potato quality pictures, it was night. If you leave it till the last minute, it will only take a minute. Build Log - 4x12's Trunk Firing 6th

Quintine
Yeah sure, was just trying to keep things in mah post clean. Ill start going thru and fixing that up Edit2: Doesn't look like I can use embed function, probably Iframe/JS restrictions. I too wish the port was painted, it probably will be soon. Edit: If you leave it till the last minute, it will only take a minute. Build Log - 4x12's Trunk Firing 6th
