Port out the top, sealed, or what about a slot on each side of those raised pieces on the sub baffle?

"Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.

Thanks guys for the input.. I'm guessing the port into the panel is a no go..

Bit maybe a slot port on one side or both could work.. but with my oddbox shape, how will the work??

The same way it would with a square enclosure? You have this much net volume. You have this much port volume. It gives you this tuning frequency. Squares and triangles.you just have to do the math yourself instead of using a calculator.

And the port into the panel is only a no-go if you're not willing to change the design of the port as I said so it can be the same size all the way through to that speaker cutout. If you're going to change your design anyways, why not model it out to do that?

The port would be such an odd shape.. will the difference in height be a problem?? And since the port will starts on the face where there isnt much top depth, would the port have to be angled inside a little to equal out to the bottom??

Didn't really want to put a pipe port that far out into the panel.. I'll just scratch the port into the panel idea

I think that will work I'm guessing height should be the same all the way thru.. by that I mean that the height of the port on the face, should be the same thru the box.. correct??

looking at your box, you should have no issue with adding a slot port (or two if you want to keep the box symetrical looking), it will just go down from that slanted face where the sub is. just like a regular square/rectangle enclosure. just make sure you brace it from the bottom so its not just dead weight on the baffle

Ok.. so I've done the measurements, and the top of the port depth is 4.5 and the bottom depths are 8.5+6.9... this is the measurement of the new port wall I made.. so to get the average length, id have to add em up and then divide by 2 right.. and then the L of the port I cut the remaining length needed to achieve what I listed below?? Or do I go to the center line of the port to figure length??

I'm calculating for a port area that it 9.5x2.5 and length of 15 to equal a tuning of 35hz...

EDIT: ok so I did center line measurements and got 6.25 top, 8.5+8.15 bottom.. this equaled an average of 11.45.. which means my L only needs to be 3.55 long.. am I right??
