BigPimpin91
yeah mang, vent velocity distortion is a bitch! as for fibre glassing the inside of the cab, if the cab is correct then a resin seal inseide will not loose u spl. it will only gain. if it looses db then the cab was wrong in the first place. you'll find this interestin guys. the corner chamfers or 45's u speak of, although they physically take up space inside the cab, they cancel vortices that are set up along internal edges and corners of your cabs. these vortices take up more space as useless, swirling, compressible air, than a well built 45 or chamfer. adding these 45's or chamfers actually make the drivers believe they're in a larger cab than if u leave them out. funny sh!t, air, i tell ya! Henry Always wondered why 45's were recommended. SPL2K Why are 45's useless? BigPimpin91's Banging Music
Proffessa
45's almost always hurts. Bracing a ported box always hurts. Resin almost never helps. the finn's and most other people who have ever been loud would definitely disagree with that chap.resin prevents molecules of air from entering or leaving the interior surface of the cab on either half of the cycle. this reduces internal losses. if your cab relies on an internal loss factor to tune correctly then something is not right. plus you are wasting energy.
