gdaigle Posted June 3, 2015 Report Share Posted June 3, 2015 I've been bumping by current setup for a few months now but haven't competed yet and was wondering if I could get some suggestions for .25 (nominal) burping. A list of the equipment I am running is in my sig below. All 3 of my alts (2x250 amp DC alts +1 300 amp DC alt) paralleled to my front batt then 4 runs of 1/0 OFC (welding cable) from front batt to the rear batt bank (Four more batts, total of 5). I know there is always a risk of frying equipment when wired this low but wanted some options from those who are more experienced than me on whether or not my current electrical is strong enough for .25 burping. Should I add more batts and/or another alt? Would it be safer to go unstrapped when doing this and just gain match? I'm currently strapped at 1 ohm and my voltage stays pretty strong at full tilt on music (13.2-13.5 is the lowest I usually see). Just trying to get an idea for what, if any upgrades should be made to help my chances of not destroying any of my equipment. But if I parallel each Subs coils then strap wouldnt I get .5 with each amp seeing .25?
