Mr DeeBeez
i want to get a clamp meter to determine my alternators amp output. I really don't know what meters are worth buying, or which ones will work for what I need. Not looking to get a top of the line fluke, but want it to be reliable and fairly cheap. Any suggestions? Kyblack76
One that sees dc amperage. Some nice cheap klines out there. I run a meter looking at amperage full, live time , on one of the two all day. I love knowing. (With alt amperage output, a lot comes into play, just a heads up) SMD SUPER SELLER The Burban Build Blazer Build sold Acura trunk build sold

Which is a good choice. Pricey but like you said it's good to know info. I also love knowing everything going on.

reedal
There's a guy on here selling a fluke dmm, clamp meter, and infrared thermometer for $250. I'd hop on that in a heartbeat if I didn't have other shit I need more. And you could probably work the price down... http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197366-fluke-meters-perfect-set-for-the-car-audio-enthusiast/#entry2973213 SMD Tool Map https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/193176-smd-tool-map-new-november-2014/ Build log https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/197217-reeds-03-tahoe-hat-sqaq-singer-xs-shca-cockbox-80prs/?page=
