OP, are you just wanting to disconnect your front battery while you work on the install?

Unless both batteries are of diff types...

then what?

I'm assuming he has an agm in the rear and a stock one up front, based on that an isolator is needed to separate the 2 for charging purposes...

its not a boat, and why spend 80 on a isolator and then more on extra terminals and time installing it when you can just get a cheap agm for the front? Remy has sales all the time, ive seen the deka's as low as 90$

Sorry guys just got back home. The batteries are different I have a XS power d3400 in the front and a stinger spp2250 for the rear. The rear hasn't been installed yet, I'm still working on everything else to be installed, money has been my issue due to job lost, but, will be back on my feet shortly to get everything finished.

No need for an isolator unless you want to play for a long time with the vehicle off, in which case, do so at your own risk because the lower voltage may damage your equipment after a period of time
