mbdblue
honestly man, I would only depend on industrial strength type adhesive for that....fusor is good shit, we use it at work almost everyday. But like you said, it sucks for the average person who doesn't have access to it or the gun. Is there anything else that you would consider "Industrial Strength" other than Fusor or 3M Automix That might be available somewhere local? reedal
Not sure about the adhesives, but I'm sure you could probably place an order with menards or another similar store for the adhesives that have already been recommended. It certainly wouldn't hurt to ask. Bob Tzimenatos
I work on boats, and if there's something we need to fasten with adhesive, 3M 5200 is the stuff. More than strong enough for your application, flexible enough to hold without coming loose. Bonds metal, fiberglass, wood and most plastics. It's cheap and readily available in your big box stores. Comes in small tubes and caulk gun cartridges.
Hertz_So_Good
So I keep having people tell me to use Loctite PL Premium 8x. Since it is available locally should I just go ahead and use it?
MarioB
Do not weld or spot weld the roof unless u want to chance it warping, body working, painting, and chance it ripping holes in near future at the spot welds.. those cross bars bend really easy. hard to get back straight with my experiences. Ive dont about 7 roof skins. you can try and get your hands on something like this and try to fill inbewteen the pannels. your car may have the foam like spray bewteen pannels. but you will need a gun for it. works great. http://www.repaintsupply.com/sem-39747-multi-purpose-panel-bond-adhesive-p1240.html 12- DC Audio m2Lvl3 12's1- Hertz HSK3 way2- DC5K's2- ZX350.42- Stinger SP1500D batteries in rear3- runs of 1/0ga. to the rearTeam DC Audiodcsoundlab.com Quality is all in how you take pictures I have plenty of projects that look WAY better on camera then in person crazy to fit so many in so little. Hertz_So_Good
Ok, so I have a question. Behind the rear seats, or c pillar if you will. I am wanting to add 2 support poles that go from the floor to the roof. Do you all have any suggestions on how I can do this without welding? I thought about wooden dowel rods, but Im not sure how I would put them in, and make them removable. I thought about expanding shower rods, but those are simply not strong enough. Do you all have any suggestions as to what I could use, and how to install them in a way that won't be permanent?
