Kade
Even on normal settings? Sounds like something else is wrong. Bad drivers maybe. Bad sector on hard drive? Leaning on drivers more than the HDD. If there was a bad sector, the machine would just freeze. 2009 Dodge Caliber SXT (Silver) Deck: Pioneer X3600BHS Amps: RF P1000X5 Front: RF P16-S Rear: RF P1694 Subs: 1 RF P3D2-10 Cabling: Stinger 6 channel RCA, RF 4gauge kit, SkyHighCarAudio 16gauge speaker wire. KiKaZz74
I have the same problem on my pc. MSI 7870 gHz edition. Can't overclock without it crashing all drivers, losing connection to the game, getting banned for some reason. This in on BF4 and csgo. Took off the overclock and get good performance. Just did the compatibility thing and its working on stock speeds. But in kombuster i get much better performance overclocked and its stable over hours. But not it game. Any ideas? Also the ram thing can anyone help? 16 GB Dual channel 1866mhz but only running at half that speed. I'm just wondering on all this stuff also since noone seems to have a fix. I've seen mantle hates any OC. Sorry for jumping in but I'm hoping someone can help because noone on the specific forums has a direct answer. Need to check if you motherboard will handle stock 1866MHz. If so, go into the bios and up the speed to match it. Not sure if you can do that in AMD overdrive, afterburner, or whatever type of OC software. When you OC, you're basically boosting the voltage on the components. So, in game, you might be pulling more and making it unstable. It's a combination of components though. Try to get everything highest stock as possible then work from there. 2009 Dodge Caliber SXT (Silver) Deck: Pioneer X3600BHS Amps: RF P1000X5 Front: RF P16-S Rear: RF P1694 Subs: 1 RF P3D2-10 Cabling: Stinger 6 channel RCA, RF 4gauge kit, SkyHighCarAudio 16gauge speaker wire. KiKaZz74
It says it will handle I think 2100 but bios is set but I'm getting exactly half speed from it. Is there a reason for that? Handle 2100 stock? You usually have to manually set the stock speeds on a fresh install in bios. It's never optimized at the start. 2009 Dodge Caliber SXT (Silver) Deck: Pioneer X3600BHS Amps: RF P1000X5 Front: RF P16-S Rear: RF P1694 Subs: 1 RF P3D2-10 Cabling: Stinger 6 channel RCA, RF 4gauge kit, SkyHighCarAudio 16gauge speaker wire. KiKaZz74
It handles it. I went in and set it for the 1866 I have. But its running at exactly 933 from what it shows. Does this have to do with the dual channelnpr anything? Does this have to do with the dual channelnpr anything? So, you set it to 1866, but you're showing 933? Where are you getting these readings from? Once you set it up in the bios, it should be set unless you had a failed overclock. Then, it would revert. I think even the single channel memory motherboard are up there around 1600MHz stock. So, I don't think a single channel would limit you there. I'd try to set it to 2100MHz if your RAM and the motherboard agree. PM me your specs. Links to the parts would be nice too. 2009 Dodge Caliber SXT (Silver) Deck: Pioneer X3600BHS Amps: RF P1000X5 Front: RF P16-S Rear: RF P1694 Subs: 1 RF P3D2-10 Cabling: Stinger 6 channel RCA, RF 4gauge kit, SkyHighCarAudio 16gauge speaker wire. STEvil
Use CPU-Z to get system readings, anything else is useless. If you set 1866mhz in the bios and whatever program you're using is reading 933mhz then you're probably fine, just the program is reading incorrectly, but realistically the memory speed isnt the problem. In whatever your favorite GPU overclocking program is, set power limit to the max (+20 or +50 depending on your GPU bios usually). MickyMcD - "Capable of making some serious trouser flapping volumes at where's-my-testicles frequencies, the Servo-Drives used to be fairly jaw dropping..." Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through. Hammerdown... 1% no links to outside websites, business related FB/YT pages allowed.
