What do you guys think of this amp

I looked up your subs. If I have the right ones they are dvc 4 ohm and take 400 rms. The 500.1 is only 2 ohm stable. So you would have to wire your subs to 4 ohm not 1 ohm. You would be putting 150 watts to each sub. Underpowered subs but it's quality equipment. I'm not gonna tell you to do it just advising you on what you are looking at.

Still learning but have started gathering.

^^That's probably why the pioneer "got so hot", assuming gain wasn't set to clipping. It's only supposed to be bridged to 2ohm, so if he wired bridged at 1ohm...

Probably so. Hence the explanation.

you can't bridge that amp.

How exactly did you wire it?

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

You can't bridge a two channel amp that offers 450x2 rms @ 2ohm bridged? Wow, pioneer must have been smoking some good shit when they wrote that then.

It's stable at 4 ohms bridged he'd have to wire it to 2 ohms bridged.

Also tell me how a bridged two channel amp can be anything x2 ?

I added the x2, that's my bad. But it is stable at 2ohm bridged I reckon otherwise they wouldn't advertise it. It is still a bridgeable amp, contrary to what you stated.

I personally don't think anything audio should be bought from Walmart anyways. Whether it's a "good" brand or not. They don't carry anything I feel is worthwhile. Yeah, you saved a few bucks using a gift card. But you could have used that gift card on groceries as someone else suggested (next time you get groceries since you just bought some), and get a better amp that offers more power and lasts longer
