can you hook up Amp & sub to stock stereo unit?

Recommended Posts

When I was contemplating using My 2015 Chrysler 200C for a build if i was on a budget I would have probably chosen an audiocontrol EQS

http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_6358_AudioControl-EQS-Gray.html and if it was just get the best it would have been between the Helix dsp, or the Alpine PXA-800, and RUX-C800 controller. The Audio Control EQS is between $250-400, the Helix about $700 iirc, and the Alpine with the controller is about $1000. There are other choices I am sure, but those were the ones I considered the best options.

Turbo Charge Any Amplifier!!! LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

This will work and it's cheap but not like those LOCs you get from Walmart....

http://www.audiocontrol.com/car-audio/factory-system-upgrade/lc2i/

Nice i found it st sonics for 99$

But will this power SQ 10'' sub 2400w max rms 1200, SQ 1200w amp?

its not to power them, its used to tap into the factory system to provide a signal to your amp

whats the difference of the one link u posted? then i saw this one,

One offers more channels. The lc2i is a two channel LOC, meaning one pair of RCA outs. The LC6i is 6 channels, 3 pairs of RCA outs, which is good if you have a sub amp and a four channel amp.

The lc2i and the like are processors that happen to be a loc as well.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

If you are only running a sub amp all you need is the lc2i.

Are you planning on upgrading your door speakers or possibly adding another amp at any point in the future? If so I say get the 6 channel and have that added convenience of plug and play rca's and not have to deal with replacing/adding more equipment and paying for 2 items instead of 1 because you didn't plan ahead.

Vehicle: 2014 GMC Sierra 2500HD WT

Head Unit: Pioneer DEH-

Mids/Highs: Focal Integration ISC 165’s (front)

Subs/Amps: TBD

You need to make a decision right now. Are you just going to be adding subwoofers in this vehicle? Or do you plan on adding an amp for those door speakers any time soon? This question is absolutely vital to what you should be buying right now. If you're just going to do subwoofers in this car, then everyone is way over thinking it. The Audiocontrol Lc2i is the most you should ever spend for something like this. And honestly, it's the cadillac of subwoofer line output converters. Surely nice, but still a bit overkill IMO. Throw in a Kicker KISLOC and call it a day my friend. That specific LOC works real well with factory Chrysler systems (they tend to see LOCs as a blown speaker and shutdown output on that channel, the KISLOC has a built-in load to prevent this).

If you DO plan on adding an amp for those door speakers, then you should absolutely be looking at one of the higher-end processors linked here. The Rockford 360. The Audiocontrol Lc6i. Etc. Etc.
