MOHpro
I am going to be doing an install on my 2012 ford fusion at some point next year. My quesion is with my set up, does tweeter placement really matter that much? I am thinking maybe putting the tweeters directly above each mid range speaker. Here is my set up.... Total system RMS: 6250 Front Doors: 3 sets of Skar 6.5 components (200 rms per set) Back doors and rear deck: Alpine type R 6.5 coax Subs: 2 12" Skar TXL (2500 rms each) Speaker amps: 3 Skar 125.4 D Sub amps: 2 Skar 2500.1 D
ToNasty
Tweeter placement makes a huge differance. I prefer mine on axis in the a pillar ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
MOHpro
I brought my car to my local car audio shop today to get an estimate for them to make me pods for my front doors for the mid range drivers. The guy recommended one tweeter in the A pillar, one in the factory tweeter location ( behind the A pillar, on top of the door), and the third one in the kick panel. My question is, will the third one in the kick panel mess up the sound or staging? Or will the two mounted in the A pillar and factory tweeter location make up for it? Im kinda not understanding having one in the kick panel

jcarter1885
Doing three tweeters I would consider a line array on your a-pillars, I wouldn't do scattered placement but that's just me. 2 components should do the trick I don't really see the need for three sets. MOHpro
Yes. There will be 3 mid range and 3 tweeters. The way he explained it to me was the tweeter in the kick panel on the driver's side would be angled so that it is pointed toward the passenger and the tweeter in the kick panel on the passenger side would be angled so that is pointed toward the driver side
ToNasty
That's a lot of speakers. But if you really want that many, do them all in the a pillar ***Super Sellers List***http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/25829-super-sellers-buyers
MOHpro
I just wanna make sure the mids and highs blend nicely with the bass, so that the bass doesnt overpower the mods and highs, so that is why I am thinking three sets
