No , but i have wondered about the box being built to the minimum air space recommended. 2 cubes per sub sealed, and 3 for ported section. i was told usually the best results would be half way between min and max on airspace. Ive been asking about making a box for 4 in a ported box but haven't had any luck, the angles are to sharp.

If you're not competing or chasing numbers don't worry about. Just leave it the way it is. No reason to risk your equipment for a few hundred watts

damn makes me wanna get amm-1 to see what wattage I'm at though. .7 seems perfect to run on the amp, probably why they built the subs that way accounting for box rise. I'm at 149.8 on the meter at 42hertz on a 8k tfe, i think it can be much louder.

I have a silverado. And it meters like shit. Might just be the vehicle

i was in the same boat has you not to long ago chasing that 50 and metering at 44 hertz. this is a 4th order correct? ill give you my two cents. if you want box rise to drop shrink your sealed side to about 1.5 per sub your box rise usally goes down if that what you want, but now your box got very peaky with bandwidth. whats your port area look like? do you have any round overs on your ports? and is this 50 legal or out law? i too was wired at 1 ohm and my next wiring configuration was .25 ohm i dint do it.

what worked for me to get my 50 was stiffing up the roof, sealing most of the box so air dint go back to he trunk, playing with ports, i was at a 149.8 my last resort was rounding over my port with at 3/4 round over bit, it worked i got a 150.6 i gained .8 dbs out of the round over.

edit like overs have said i would play with the box before you recone. sure it might get you that 50. but your electrical inst gonna like it.

yes box is a fourth order, port is rounded over with 3/4 bit, and its 30''x 7'' tuned to 46hrtz . added 3 layers of deadener to the roof, but my sunroof is still there. 149.8 with 1 window down meter on the dash I'm a noob still lol! the box sounds great on pretty much everything i play, add shrinking and peaky to it just to break a 50 doesn't seem worth it. Guess ill have to wall it one day when I'm ready lol! thanks for the info!
