Aftermarket Head Unit in Newer Cars?

Recommended Posts

I have a 2014 Dodge Charger and I want to replace the stock head unit however the head unit controls the AC and other things like that. Would it be better to just leave the stock head unit or could I get a 2nd head unit or is there a way that replacing it as a whole would have no huge effect on it? Thanks.

Metra makes a dash kit and wiring interface, it's $500 then the cost of the radio. if you were to keep the OEM radio, you'll need a LOC that can maintain a load otherwise your factory amp will turn off. PAC and Kicker make LOCs that can do this.

if nothing changes, nothing changes

i did a new Toyota Avalon i bubble wrapped the stock deck with a 10 foot wiring harness left it plugged in and off put it away in the trunk of the car so the climate controls would still work and the screen then put in after market radio

Audison Bit One. Better then the 3 Sixty 3. Look for a Audison. Great unit.
