Mosin Posted April 15, 2008 Report Posted April 15, 2008 So i am installing 2 12" Woofers in a Ported box with the port between the woofers, i am running just a 800W class d amp to the woofers which are Kicker CVR's its wired at 2 Ohms. we removed the rear seats and sheetmetal which is gunna stay like that for unknown reasons lol its my buddys ride lol is it better to fire the woofers into the car or leave them be as they are firing to the rear of the car? goal is louder SPL... SQ doesnt matter right now thanks for all your guys help!! Derp.

In a hatch I would point then to the rear. Mosin Posted April 15, 2008 Author Report Posted April 15, 2008 Its a trunk actually is a 1993 Chrysler New Yorker (ghetto) lol so firing them into the vehicle, sealing the trunk around the box would give me better SPL Readings? Derp.

That was a problem i was pondering since last night! lol with the regular set-up we had factory seats in place woofers firing toward rear we did 144.3db which is alright but i expect to hit alot higher hopefully!! you think its good for 150 or naw? im predicting 146 or around that area Derp.

I dont do predictions to risk looking like an asshat but sounds like you have a goal to work towards and I wish you luck.
