jizazz12
I have 01 yukon xl, I'm working on getting my doors done and am getting them ready for paint. My rear left panel had one long deep gouge in it, I cleaned it up and removed all the loose material from the area. I'm not sure what to use to fill and prep this area with, is there some sort of epoxy or other compound I can use to fill the panel back in so I can paint it? Or would it be a better idea to just grab another panel from the bone yard? 2007 Chevy Impala LS 1 Crescendo 3KWP 1Crescendo C1000/4 2 DC lvl 4 15's with lvl5 dual .7 coils 1Audio Control Matrix 1 Pioneer P880PRS 1 300 amp Iraggi alt All power runs done with Knu flex 0/1 guage 1 optima yellow top under the hood 1 XS 5100 and two Deka's in the trunk 4 Crescendo MP-8 mid bass drivers 2 DB Drive p5 5 D Pro Audio tweeters
MotorCityFats13
I have had good luck with 2 part plastic weld epoxy that I buy at autozone... when it cures its probably harder than the door plastic and is pretty easy to work with
mbdblue
I'd weigh out your options....The stuff you'll need to fill it plus the amount of time it'll take to repair may cost just as much as a replacement from the junkyard. I'd find out if you can find one in nice condition and how much it'll cost you. then compare it to the price you'd spend on fixing it. edit: If I had the option of repairing something that could be replaced for the same amount or even a few bucks more, I'd probably just replace it. Same reason why bodyshops do more panel replacing instead of dent pulling now. Sometimes it costs more to fix the dent than to replace the panel. I may try it if I can't come up with anything else, thanks. 2007 Chevy Impala LS 1 Crescendo 3KWP 1Crescendo C1000/4 2 DC lvl 4 15's with lvl5 dual .7 coils 1Audio Control Matrix 1 Pioneer P880PRS 1 300 amp Iraggi alt All power runs done with Knu flex 0/1 guage 1 optima yellow top under the hood 1 XS 5100 and two Deka's in the trunk 4 Crescendo MP-8 mid bass drivers 2 DB Drive p5 5 D Pro Audio tweeters

3vil
When you say paint, do you mean a rattle can job, or do you want it to look at least as good as the day it rolled of the factory line?
