Airborne Posted November 9, 2015 Report Posted November 9, 2015 I have been thinking IB in my car and have been looking all over for a sub I may like. I own several sundown subs and love them. Anyone tried the subs in an IB? Quote
tenrep Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 ? don't bash me bro, but by infinite baffle does that mean the same thing as inverted subs or similar?? Quote
Airborne Posted November 16, 2015 Author Report Posted November 16, 2015 Nah, never gonna bash someone. It means mounted in just a baffle. Free air. Quote
MrSkippyJ Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 It's not free air, free air is no enclosure and no separation of front and back waves. Infinite baffle implies the front and back waves are separated. Broke_Audio_Addict Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 (edited) For ib you want something with a high xmax and a low fs. Edited November 16, 2015 by Broke_Audio_Addict Quote That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
CleanSierra Posted November 16, 2015 Report Posted November 16, 2015 For ib you want something with a high xmax and a low fs. This^^^ So, in a nutshell no, the E series is not ideal for IB setup. Quote Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
