LoudPackRacing Posted November 11, 2015 Report Posted November 11, 2015 I have 2 12" kicker l7s dual 2 ohm models. The problem is I can't find an amp that's 0.5ohms stable so I have to wire them in series/parallel for a 2 ohm load. My question is wouldn't I get more out the subs if I just buy 2 amps that are 1 ohm stable and hook up each sub to its own amp?

Wasteland_Audio Posted November 11, 2015 Report Posted November 11, 2015 If you end up getting 2 amps you better have the tools available to gain match, i made that mistake and ended up strapping mine so i could get even power to each sub. I would take massive's advice and just snag up a 0.5 ohm stable 2k.

A sundown 1500 will push is to its limits and maybe won't last long. Zx1500.1 and run it at 2 ohms. For a person who is not experience I don't suggest wiring an amp under 1 ohm.
