My MB Quart amplifier model RA1000.1 will only power on if I use a jumper between the Battery and Remote connections. If I remove the jumper the amp powers off any will not power on. I've looked at the board and can't find anything out of place or burned. Any ideas if the problem?

Are you talking about if both battery + and remote are connected to the proper places, it only powers on if you have a jumper in between them? Or are you saying it only will turn on if you use a jumper to the remote section, and not if you just wire the battery + and ground.

I'll admit, half way through sanding that fiberglass in the rain and cold while I was all itchy I was definitely starting to question why i was doing this haha

Remote, Battery, and Ground connected to the proper places. The amp only powers on if I jump Battery to Remote at the amp terminals.

I'm not getting any power to my remote wire. The wire out the CD Player doesn't even have a current.

This means your accessory wire (where I assume it was connected originally) on the deck is shot. New deck, or find another turn on relay in the car to use.

Crazy things is I just had my new CD player sent off for the same problem. If my amp was getting to much current from my battery wouldn't my fuse on the amp blow?

how many amps, eq, fans, etc.. did you have running on that 1 remote wire? Just buy a toggle switch and turn on the amp from that.

If a surge through your power wire exceed your fuse rating yes the fuse will blow.
