fastcat71 Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 just wanting to get some ideas/options for my next install in my 01 gmc single cab, first was a single sundown sa-12 in a 2cube box ported ran off a old hifonics brz1500. wasn't a bad setup, really shinned at around 36-40 hertz. I loved the setup and I'm not a tall guy by no means but after a while I wanted my leg room back so I sold my setup. I now have 3 amp options ive got cheap. have a belva 5000d, planet audio bb2400 and a hifonics hfi1500. got them all in a trade the belva is nib. that being said I wanna keep my leg room as much as possible and still get as loud or louder than my old sa-12 without doin a blow thru. just like to get some opinions maybe past experiences ect. jut to kinda open my eyes a bit any input I apreciated

In that truck 3 12's ported shouldn't be an issue. under construction I hate People with crappy primered cars rolling on hubcaps that are louder then me. u hate c-fizzy?

In that truck 3 12's ported shouldn't be an issue. yea I traded a bunch of old boxes ive built in years past for them, couldn't pass up a brand new amp still in the box lol.. shoulda been more clear about the console builds as I still have to have it for the kids to ride with me lol. if it was for jut me and the woman id do a console build in a heartbeat

Deeznutz Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 Yeah, a shallow mount sub in a custom seat CAN be done. It's a bit of a pain in the ass to be honest with you. I am prototyping one now. 1 cf is what I am estimating. I haven't filled it with shipping peanuts to measure. Layered up 6 layers now. Still some flex across the flat part of the seat. This is going to be a Christmas present for my gf's son. He has a xcab Dodge Ram. I offered him a custom seat enclosure for 2 12's. His friends can sit on the box with the original seat cover on it, but is reluctant to lose the back seat. If you look at his truck that bench seat is a catch all for this sh!t so I don't get it. lol. Progress has stopped because I can not find a Kicker Solo Classic 12 on Ebay. They had a boat load for $106 shipped. Should have jumped on it!! Anyway, here you go. -Frank

dolarbilz Posted December 1, 2015 Report Posted December 1, 2015 3 shallow mount subs (pionner for cheap) box fixed to cab..use amp you have or buy better if need.it will fit under passenger no problem.plenty room under driver seat for small two channel.I've done couple installs like this sounds really nice..not competition in the lanes setup but sounds good There will be factory metal brackets you'll need to remove under passenger seat..it only holds couple plugs that can be pushed to side..
