Walling of a 1994 Chevy Caprice!

Hey guys! I am starting a new build in the coming weeks and I think I've got it narrowed down. I would just like some input on design and maybe a suggestion on tweaks I could make to get the most out of my build.

This is going to be a wall in a 1994 Chevrolet Caprice Classic. 2 SSA ZCON 18's Dual 2's with an AQ3500.1D on a 320a alt, small battery bank and multiple OFC 1/0 runs.

My goals are strong lows from the 25-35hz range. Lots of air movement, very demo friendly.

I think I am going with a flat wall, each sub towards the bottom, behind the driver/passenger seat and a large 10"+ aero port in the center, toward the top of the wall. I can do an external port to add length too.

My thoughts are that Aero ports are generally pretty efficient as I am gonna be working with about 15 cubes.

The box will be shelled out and built like a brick house. I will only use the best materials possible.

Could anyone offer any input on obtaining my goal of lot's of air movement and phenomenal subsonic response.

Thank you!

if you can avoid a top port, then avoid it in most cases. Center vertical or DS :good:

Drivers side loads on the dash and kick. And you basically drive with your head in the port

so in OP's goal of demo friendly, it'd be louder for the passenger, correct? And vice versa if port were right behind the passenger seat? Sorry for the thread jack OP.

Yes but there is a reason bowman demos from his passenger seat and sticks everyone in the hot seat.

I was kind of curious about the best way to achieve subsonic response, I don't ever compete so the meter scores won't affect me. I guess my main question is, would a large aero port with a good flange provide me with the type of deep, windy bass that I'm after?

my sincere condolences goes to that car.. that car has so much trunk you really dont need to destroy it specially for 3500 watts..

I see you're a B-body guy. Don't worry, the guy who had it before me ragged the interior out, I have done 7-8 diff trunk builds in this car, the wall is my final build for this car that's why I wanna get it right the first time.
