_94fleet
Anyone have any experience with Saiga 12s? I have a Arsenal S12 and im wondering should i go with a bcg reprofile or drill gas ports first? It wont cycle low brass target loads. 3vil
I've got an Izmash saiga 12 but I've never had any gas issues with it, unless you count forgetting to change settings after switching from birdshot to magnum buck a problem! Mine has the 3 port barrel and it cycles even the shittiest of cheap loads. Edit: Opening up your ports, or adding one really isn't that hard though. I feel like that would be my first thing to try if I had cycling issues.
_94fleet
the prob is light loads are inconsistent. i can dump a mag pr two then get 2 fte in a row. heavy loads cycle like a boss B2 Zero.7r - Soundqubed 4-120 - Digital Designs 9918 - Rockford Fosgate T1 5.25" - Deh-80prs - XS Power D3400 XS Power XP3000 - Mechman 250A - Big3

3vil
If you haven't already, pop over to http://forum.saiga-12.com/ and do some reading there. Plenty of ppl have had the same issues as you, and there's a bit a knowledge there about this weapon platform.
Airborne
VEPR12 is a Russian Cop gun. Very nice for what they are and at around the same pricepoint it's my choice. Now, if you want a 20 round drum etc then Saiga is the gun for you. I got over that shit real fast.

ShadeTreeMechanic
When you say it won't cycle, do you mean that it misses completely and the chamber is empty? Does it "Stove Pipe"? Sounds like the timing is off. I had to lube the shut out of my semi auto and after about 100 rounds it started to cooperate. 3vil
He most likely means it's failing to eject. Saigas often will not fully cycle the bolt when using low brass/light charge shells. I have a pdf about polishing the bolt, it's actually about the VEPR but most info carries over.
_94fleet
i installed the tac47 autoplug and polished up the bcg and trigger. runs good now but still doesnt like anything under 1200fps. cycling as in it would fail to eject.
