Chris Braun
im gonne get a chromebook here in the next couple of weeks tired of messing with windows shit I'm not a Windows fanboy by any means, but not sure why so many people have so many issues with Windows 8 and Windows 10, or Windows 7 for that matter. I find it's the cheap, junky, low end or crappy brands with bloatware that seem to usually be the problem, not windows itself (exception being vista of course). Also if you've been using a computer since Windows XP or earlier, you should be a semi-pro by now. Honestly I've had decent PC's, with clean installs and ZERO major problems for over 15 years, and any display issues with my laptops have always been Nvidia as the source of the problem or something I've done. It's always been someone with either a hacked version, shitty PC to begin with, porn porn porn, or doing illegal downloads which can screw your PC over. Don't blame the technology, it's the crap you throw at.
Quiet
10 on a fresh install is fine. Upgrade, activate, wipe, install from scratch. On install, disable all the tracking options. Disable Cortana. If you don't want to upgrade, install Debian or Ubuntu. But put up or shut up... This bitching about 10 is getting old. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud. SoCaLBaMF
Never had a single issue with Windows 10 yet. Did a clean install on it not a shitty "upgrade". Faster than windows 7 and quick to find files hidden deep with the little search bar on bottom. 2004 Bagged Trailblazer (4)18" Sundown Nsv3s (4) Taramps HD10000s, Taramps DSP3000, Lanzar opti 250x2, AB 100x4 (2)DC power SP 270s, (14)XS Power d3100s, (1)d6500

Quiet
Upgrading nvidia cards has been a bitch lately for me. Other than that 10 has been smooth sailing. I'm thinking the upgrade issues are EFI related. I run 10 on 4 desktops and 2 laptops, and a tablet. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud. RooTxBeeR
I am in love with windows 10. For my daily computer, I have 5 monitors split between 2 PC's. Windows 7 had absolutely no features to help someone with multitasking across multiple screens. Windows 10 however, has many great features to help with that. As well if you are a gamer, windows 10 allows you to utilize directx12 if your game can use that. Been using it in Linux for at least 10 years. Bout time Microsoft showed up to the party. I was a holdout until about one Friday in August last year, telling myself I'll wait for the bugs to disappear. Installed one machine in my house that day, and by Sunday every machine in the house was 10 lol. 2007 Pacifica Rebuild. Less quiet. Still not loud.
