[email protected]
I'm designing a sixth order box for my truck. Done a couple fourth orders and I have some cheap subs I want to build a sixth order to see how they sound. Is there any gain if the port from the box containing the subs goes into the larger portion of the box or should the port exit into the cabin? Kinda hard to explain but just trying to get some ideas
Triticum Agricolam
Are you trying to do a series-tuned or parallel-tuned 6th order? SnowDrifter
I think he's trying to decide between parallel or series. Parallel 6th are easier to design ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
Wasteland_Audio
Are you trying to do a series-tuned or parallel-tuned 6th order? Didn't you do a whole write up on 6th orders a while back?

Audioholic
I bookmarked this a few week's back because I have been considering this in my next big build.
[email protected]
Yeah that's what I was trying to ask. Lol but is there any difference between the two? Because if one is more beneficial than the other then that's the one I want to build. I just read your post and see that the series 6th order is a pain but can't be scared to try
Audioholic
I'm with you on that wish I had more to share. I guess I will be experimenting too.
