Should i flip the mounting grommet? the holes are already cut just a hair big so will I need to router them any more? Please help! I've never inverted before. Skater229
Are they going to be recessed in the baffle? or sitting on top? My XL's are recessed so I left the gasket normal, and there is a lip that you have to deal with... Wasteland_Audio
No inset, just flat on top. And a lip on the cone side or motor side of the mounting ring?

Wasteland_Audio
o right the one on the outside edge, it's ok, if it fucks my baffle up i'll just throw another layer on and pretend it didn't happen, but should i flip the mounting ring? and would the holes be big enough for the surround not to rub? sorry i'm sitting here staring at them in the back of my burban and want to try it lol
Skater229
When you flip the ring is hard to set right due to the lip... That is the issue... Skater229
oh i know how it is... My old M2 XL's i was able to invert the gasket and was able to fit in the groove of the baffle... But the M3 baskets are a cunt hair bigger and would not fit with the gasket flipped, so they went in normal... and have fun playing with 80 pound monsters, I know my 57 pounders were a pain... WCA Rusty
make sure if you have the 6 spoke frames to router in a groove for the lip of the frame it sit in or when you torque down that frame it will stress the lip and can break it Quote DC AUDIO Phone Number 1(855)SPL-DBZZ Built by Competitors, for Competitors.
