Joe X
Which and how many subs will you have?
Triticum Agricolam
Will you ever run more than 4800 watts? Like Joe X said, we need to know what type and how many subs you will be running. You are probably looking at using at least four 6" ports. Once you have to start using more than about two round ports, their advantages over slot ports start to go away FYI. CstrokerV
eight dc lvl 3 12's .... and i doubt i will ever run more then 4800 watts and if i strap the amps it goes down to 4500 watts .... my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/
Joe X
4500 in 8 subs looks like 560W per driver, seems to me that you are missing a lot on driver's potential, if you ran rated to the subs something like 6 6" would do it but even if using PVC you should do some flaring to them. CstrokerV
well they where m1s only rated at 600 rms when i got the amps now they have m2 soft parts so i guess they take them up to the 900rms ... and ill see about flaring.. i was going to do two 20 X 2.5 slot ports thoughts on that? my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/
Joe X
At least 200 square inches of port area but not something thin, do it as close as a square as you possibly can, say something like 32" x 6.5".
