I wanted to go with two team 15's on two ampere 5k's but almost everyone i talked to about it locally said thats to much for the trunk and ill be better off going sealed. If i go sealed i want to go with 3 ampere 3.0 15's sealed with one of my ampere 5k's...what you guys think

x infektid x Posted March 13, 2016 Report Posted March 13, 2016 well you already have the stuff so use it.. i have an 85 monte ss and 2 12's with fatmat in the trunk and it works for me.. sealed 12 inch sundowns with 2.5k rms and i like it .. now your trunk is made different than mine being a 4th gen car but you should be ok.. like he said .. by by trunk .. hello rattle if you do deaden it . it really does make a difference in sound. if my ears dont buzz. you need more ..

That kind of power in a trunk is going to do damage regardless what you do, if you aren't ready for that don't do it. Trunk is a sealed partition of vehicle, no getting around that, and far from optimal in the pursuit of getting loud.. IMO, you're gonna have to go bandpass and port through the deck lid. LsChevy Posted March 14, 2016 Author Report Posted March 14, 2016 The trunk is made a bit crazy because it's shaped like a upside down "T" but i can't use the entire trunk because I will not have room for the batteries and amps. I will most likely just use one of my 5k's. Hopefully I can sell my Tridents
