Rattling noise from sub

Tryin to get my truck playing agin, just built a new box, mounted the sub and put power to it.

There's a nasty rattling sound when the bass hits.

sounds like there's a loose screw on top of the dustcap.

The sub has been sitting in my closet for a few months and before that it played just fine.

What could it be?

Pull the driver and free air it... wont take you but a second to see a issue.

I didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

If you do the test Kyblack mentioned and it checks out, then I'd double check you box to make sure every panel is secure. I've heard some loose, or poorly braced boxes make quite the racket when they start flexing and vibrating.

Take a vid of it playing both ways.

It's just the same irritating rattling sound that plays with the bass.

I'll check it out more when We get some daylight

Did a Google search and that's the first thing that popped up. But it played just fine before I put it in the closet.

It's a zv4 and I did recone it, but it played fine before

Put it back in the box and while playing music the makes the rattling noise press hard on each side of the box.

My zcon did this for a little while, then the dust cap flew off so the dust cap may be worth looking into
