catch 22
Tryin to get my truck playing agin, just built a new box, mounted the sub and put power to it. There's a nasty rattling sound when the bass hits. sounds like there's a loose screw on top of the dustcap. The sub has been sitting in my closet for a few months and before that it played just fine. What could it be?

3vil
If you do the test Kyblack mentioned and it checks out, then I'd double check you box to make sure every panel is secure. I've heard some loose, or poorly braced boxes make quite the racket when they start flexing and vibrating.

3vil
Put it back in the box and while playing music the makes the rattling noise press hard on each side of the box.
