ChuckStakes Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 There's so much info on this subject. Everywhere. YouTube, forums, the interwebs. It's not difficult. The car will be the main factor on the difficulty of the install. YouTube it, if still confused or not confident, then you need to consult a shop. But seriously just add to existing wires and you know exactly where each wire will go. Some cars have alternators and wire leads accessible from the top of the engine bay and some are below. Like I said you may even find a step by step on your exact vehicle
3vil Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 Sounds like he wants to borrow a crimper not con someone into doing the work for him.

ShadeTreeMechanic Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 I second the ebay crimper. I have one and it works great. I also have the smaller version and it doesn't do as good on the big stuff. 91 C350 Centurion conversion ( Four Door One Ton Bronco) 250A Alternator (Second Alternator Coming Soon) G65 AGM Up Front / Two G31 AGM in Back Pioneer 80PRS CT Sounds AT125.2 / CT Sounds 6.5 Strato Pro component Front Stage CT Sounds AT125.2 / Lanzar Pro 8" coax w/compression horn tweeter Rear Fill FSD 5000D 1/2 ohm (SoundQubed 7k Coming Soon) Two HDS315 Four Qubes Each 34hz (Two HDC3.118 and New Box Coming Soon)
GorillaFIngeRs Posted April 2, 2016 Author Report Posted April 2, 2016 Sweet. Thanks for all the info. This brings up a new question for me though. So I got 1/0 from Knu, great stuff no complaints whatsoever. I got some sky high 1/0 lugs w/ 3/8" hole. It seems to be too big from my experience at work, when you have play in the lug befor you crimp that's a major no no. Should fit snug where you have to be very precise to even get all the strands in. So I took my Knu wire to my shop at work and found that our lugs that were perfect fit were actually 3/0. Anyone know how or why there would be a diff in size based on industry. I have access to that heavy duty locomotive cable and it's the same deal. MotorCityFats13 Posted April 2, 2016 Report Posted April 2, 2016 audio power cable does not follow AWG standards like welding cable... so they can make it as thick as they feel
