MickyMcD
Very impressed. Now that (I am assuming) you have heard both clusters and arrays, which do you prefer? The uniform dispersion of an array always just seems to liven up any spatial imaging thrown in the mix and really brighten the overall sound, in my humble opinion. Cheers, Mick These sound pretty awesome, but I built North Creek Rhythms 5 years ago and honestly have not heard a speaker that can match them over those 5 years. When I seriously want to listen to music, I pull my Rhythms out about 4 feet from the wall, then take about 5-10 minutes to get them toed in correctly. From there, I might as well be listening to it live Here is the link (note crossover coils wound from 8ga wire!): http://www.northcreekmusic.com/NorthCreekKits.html Current system: 1997 Blazer - (4) Customer Fi NEO subs with (8) American Bass Elite 2800.1s Previous systems: 2000 Suburban - (4) BTL 15's and (4) IA 40.1's = 157.7 dB at 37 Hz. 1992 Astro Van - (6) BTL 15's and (6) IA 40.1's = 159.7 dB at 43 Hz. kryptonitewhite
Love the mids and the 12"s. IF it was me I would have to have another 18". Bet that badboy rumbles and gets real loud in a box that big and tuned that deep! Freaking awesome I'm jelous... but yeah, all that mid but seems skimpy on the low and high? (that 18 does look massive though) A few more tweets and a few more 18's to keep up with them ungodly 5.75s and 12's! was efficiency part of the design Brian, is that you in the pic? http://www.northcreekmusic.com/NorthCreekKits.html IB3 22"

Everyone says more tweets, but believe me there is more than enough tweeter. . . The 12's are designed with a hump from 35-100 Hz, but no HP filter, so they actually add to the low end along with the 18. The overall sound is very balanced and very loud! kryptonitewhite
ya, I was originally worried about my "lack of tweet" in my sys (that will never get done) but I am learning that under 100 watts of it is much more than plenty (no such thing as overkill) IB3 22"
