bkolfo4
Neighbors complained the first time he turned up the tube, but he really did not know it was that loud outside. The living room window was open a little, and we now know it is REALLY loud when the window is open. Cops came, but just shock their heads and laughed when they saw what was making the noise. The entire setup (including the two subwoofer amps, but not the main carver amp) was just under $2500. That includes the wood, laminate, everything. Not bad for the finished product. I did not charge him labor, since he is my good friend, but he bought me a XBox360 and the HD DVD player for the build! I think his favorite thing about the system is just watching people's expressions now when they walk in his house! I think it is funny that he really did not care anything about loud music until he met me!!! I will get a video next time I am at his house. . . PaulO2288
Love the mids and the 12"s. IF it was me I would have to have another 18". Bet that badboy rumbles and gets real loud in a box that big and tuned that deep! Freaking awesome

bkolfo4
The caps are just circles cut with a router. Each cap has two circles - one cut to the ID of the tube, one to the OD. Glue them together and then glue them to each end of the tube. I used a couple of 2x4's inside to make sure they stay together, since the tube is cardboard. The port is a 9" tube in the top. Legs are 2" PVC.
