RageQuitForLife Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 So, I just bought a 2004 chevy tahoe and i'm about to start a new build on it. The only thing is that I don't know what headunit to buy for it. I'm thinking about getting a double din since the tahoe already has a ton of storage space and i dont really need the single din with the storage bin. I was looking at this http://www.sonicelec...-4V-Output.html headunit, but I dont know how reliable clarion headunits are. Does this seem like a good headunit or does anyone have any better recommendations on headunits around $150 Thanks

RageQuitForLife Posted April 17, 2016 Author Report Posted April 17, 2016 i mean my last headunit was like 90 bucks and did an amazing job, i feel like these 200+ dollar headunits dont have much more function than a few more preamp voltage. another thing, my tahoe has the bose system, would it be better to run the speakers off of the stock bose amp or from headunit power?
Broke_Audio_Addict Posted April 17, 2016 Report Posted April 17, 2016 They have a whole lot more function, you're crazy I you think pre-out voltage is the only difference. Like I stated in your other thread I got my 80prs used for $150 in amazing condition and used ones come up for sale all the time. Other than that a clarion cz702 is a very nice unit for cheap if you can find one for sale somewhere. That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.
