Stupid question, I know...

I was wondering if it would be possible to run a DC XL 15" @ .7ohm on a Crescendo BC3500D. The amp says its stable @ .5ohm, but i'm not sure if its only stable at the mentioned .5, 1, 2, or 4ohms mentioned on their page.

Also, what does the stiffness of the spider on the sub do, and if it would be worth making mine stiff in my situation.

Spider stiffness dictates more or less mechanical control. Soft spider, less control, stiff spider, more control. With that, a sub with a stiff spider will need more power to move the same as a sub with soft spider on less power.

Ok, do you think making my sub's spider stiffer would be a good idea?

That would depend on your intended use of the sub.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Well, I plan to run it pretty loud and low and about 100-200 watts away from from its limit.
