Karkov
Am I the only one who when I think about the amp dyno I think of this... 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. 3vil
Does half of the claimed wattage, case is a blatant copy of Mosconi, and you'd need a second alt just to feed it. Definitely seems like it's "good for the money" lol.
Jessica
yep, does around 5k around 400 amps. so as far as effeciency its not horrible, but as for ratings is sucks ass Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. WillistonAudioLabs
i DONT know how i feel about this amp lol. soo many things on my mind but I'm trying to remain positive from now on. Nice test though. I've been in car audio since the late 80's, I've been testing amps for the past 5 years....I had no expectations this amp would meet it's rated power, but I still am not happy. Not only that I spent my own money to buy this amp and I was "misled" by the manufacturer, but how many other 100's or 1000's of people will buy amps like this not knowing the truth? It's simply not right, I don't care if it's a "good deal for the money". That's not the point....the fact the consumer is misled is wrong, no way around it See my videos on YouTube http://www.willistonaudio.com Many tests and demos of OLD and NEW SCHOOL car audio gear! Jessica
same old debate on every one of these so called amps. "is it good for the money?" I think it should do what the manufacture states. Dont label a thing in a way that is deceptive. Any time someone lies to you, do you trust them later. If i sold you 4 subs and sent you 2 you would flip shit. If a company sells you 5k and gives you 2 its ok cause its still a good deal. Bullshit Rest in peace, walled 87 accord build log 03' Corolla build with AA Mayhem inside. That's not the point....the fact the consumer is misled is wrong, no way around it I agree. but that exact reason is why companies that pull this crap stay in business. the average daily "bass head" will never have their equipment metered or clamped. I laugh at people around my military town that have these "5000 watt max" amps made by "your name here". even worse, some of my local car audio shops sell this crap, and I get a kick out of walking in and asking whats the best amp they have, only to be shown a hifonics ________ .. meade916
$300 for a 2k amp ain't bad so why not label the amp "2k watts" and be a legitimate brand? I think it is despicable to lie to people that don't know any better like that. They are playing on 17yr olds and quite frankly a lot of grown men when they exxagerate the numbers like that. And i am not just talking a 500 watt amp that does 475. If the thing can't even do half it's rated power and not even a 10th of it's big fancy number on the side of the box, it is just plain wrong. The honeybadger will expose all of the lies. These companies can feel more than free to make a YT video showing us how they came up with their numbers, i would love to see it. I like tesla coils.
