Subwoofer ideas!

It does take a little time to get them . Kinda sucks but well worth the wait. And gives you time to get an enclosure built and get anything else ready for your build. . . .

I would get as much power as you can for the zcon. . .

Iv had a 15 in from 3.5 to almost 5 cubes and did real good. I would put it in as big as you can fit but still would do good in 3.5 or so

I run a Zcon 15 in a 4 ft3 box, tuned at 33 Hz, on an Incriminator Audio 2.0.

My CX-5 likes this system so far !

Stock alt is 160 amp.

I have a build log on this forum.

black BMW X1 2.0 l 192 hp

OEM head unit, Amplifiers Audison AP 8.9 amp with integrated DSP and Ampere Audio 1200.

Focal ES 100 K in front doors, and Dayton RS 180 for midbass under the front seats.

2 SSA DEMONS 10" subs, in a 2.6 ft3  ported box. SecondSkin Damplifier on front doors, and Luxury Liner Pro for the cargo area.

Out of curiosity what amp were you running on the JL's? Do you know why it died? Have you done the Big 3/4? What size power wire are you running? A new high power amp and subs may not last if your electrical system is what killed the old amp... hate to see you spend that money and end up with the same result.

It was a coil that broke off at the soldering joint. I got some soldering wick and access to my work soldering iron. Hopefully It can get hot enough just to get me back to boomin.

My other soldering irons couldn't melt that shit at all.

Yes I did the big 3...or well I added a big 3 in addition to the stock wires.

For the current setup it's 4gauge. 125 amp in line fuse and 100 amp built in fuse array.

I'll upload pics tonight. But as well the power to the 300watt amp has 8 gauge.

Power runs down my driver side hidden. Speaker wires go down the passenger side hidden. (3.sixty.3.... Alot of speaker wires)

Probably 300ft of wire I've ran through this thing. All are good connections and properly done. Though, I will undo all connections in the rear and solder them. Now that I've found some good info on that.

This was while I was doing the amp box

There are rubber stands seperating the devices from the box. (entire box is also plastidipped to kill rattle not that much rattles with 2 subs on top.

(cross flow fans at intake and 120mm fans at discharge - - forced air flow)
