Term lab on motorcycle exhaust?

Recommended Posts

Too loud for what? Is there a db limit?

Yes. In Wisconsin, the exhaust can not be louder than "96dba at 20" away from exhaust." Technically any exhaust modification is illegal, but not strictly enforced.

And to be honest, not sure what dba means. I'm assuming that's just decibels, but could be wrong. Don't know what the a stands for. Here's the lol ok getting it from.

dBA is generally A-weighted decibels, but some write it for "acoustic decibels."

"Clipping" is the biggest forum boner now. It's like witchcraft... it automatically explains just about everything people don't understand.

I believe termlabs (pressure sensors) are tailored to lower frequencies.

An exhaust would be a mix of various frequencies so the response may not be accurate.

Anybody have termlabs specs and then a frequency spectrum of an exhaust.....

you need a mic not a pressure sensor.. chances are the termlab wont read accurate since the exhaust isnt enclosed to build pressure.. down load an app on your phone
