Daddy_
Could I get a box design for 2 12" sundown SA's and 2 10" Sundown SA's. Max dimensions are 34L x 16H x 18D. I would like it tuned to 34 hertz. The 2 12s do whatever you can in between 1.5-2cubes net. For the 2 10s looking for 1.25net. Joe X
If you are placing those subs on the Acura Integra listed on your sig likely you are not going to have the space, it will be the 10s or maybe the 12s, post your max dims for a box. Daddy_
No that was my old car. I have a 2012 Acura tl sh-awd. Max dimensions are 34l x 16hx 18d. Really wanted to do 2 sa 12s but not sure how much net volume I'll have. Could you design a box for 12s and 10s. Please and thank you Car: 2012 Acura TL Elite Head Unit: JL Audio Fix86 Front Stage : Alpine SPX-17PRO Rear Stage : Alpine SPR-60C Component Amp : JL Audio HD 600/4 Sub : 1 12" JL Audio W7 Sub Amp : JL Audio HD 1200
ckeeler11
Joe is far more seasoned than me but i came up with 3cu. tuned to 35 hz with a port area of 50.75 for 2 SA-12's in the provided space, at rated power. would be on the small end for 12's. you would probably get better performance from 10's in that box. Triticum Agricolam
I came up with this real quick for two SA-12s. Its 3.15 cu ft net, 34 Hz tuning, 50 sq in of port area. That design should be good up to about 2000 watts. Triticum Agricolam
Past 2000 watts you are probably going to want more port area. Daddy_
I came up with this real quick for two SA-12s. Its 3.15 cu ft net, 34 Hz tuning, 50 sq in of port area. That design should be good up to about 2000 watts. So with this I'll have about 1.575 cubes net correct? And this is a single chamber build. If you add dual chamber and 45s in the corners I will lose more net cubes for the subs right. So would I be better off running 2 10s. Could you design a box for me for 2 sa 10s in a dual chamber and 45s in the corner and tuned to 34 hertz. If I don't have the room for dual chamber and 45s it's not necessary. I know the sa 10s need 1.25 but would it be better to go 1.5net? I'll be running the sundown 1500d or 2000d. Most likely the 1500d Car: 2012 Acura TL Elite Head Unit: JL Audio Fix86 Front Stage : Alpine SPX-17PRO Rear Stage : Alpine SPR-60C Component Amp : JL Audio HD 600/4 Sub : 1 12" JL Audio W7 Sub Amp : JL Audio HD 1200
Triticum Agricolam
Putting a 45 in the corner of the port would be beneficial and wouldn't cost you any net volume. Putting 45s anywhere else doesn't really provide any benefit. I can probably make this design work with a center port/dual chamber, so you could stick with 12"s, but the single side port really is a superior layout. I could probably go 19d but that's it or else I will hit the trunk roof. So 34l 16h 19d. Could you also design on one for 2 sa 10s and whatever design what's best. Hoping for a dual chamber and possibly 45s tuned to 34 please.
