Well than what's a 15" that will take 5k rms all day? I know of the SSA Evil 15".... I know of the Fi Team 15".. I know of the AA SMD series 15"... keep in mind my price range for 1 sub is only between $400-800...

All of those would be fine, but you must know what you are doing on some level to have that much power per sub (regardless of impedance rise)

A guy told me -> I came up with a design that will hit low, the only concern is the height, I may not be able to fit the sub on the front baffle board, I may have to top mount it. It will be 16"H x 35"W x 18"D. 4.42^3ft gross vol. Slot port, 14.5"H x 2.75"W @30Hz. After all displacement, 3.37^3ft net vol.

That volume and port area looks great for a single 15.

Well I've had 2 15's in my car with the same dimensions in a ported box and I currently have 2 12's inside my car with the same dimension.... I could probably do 35x15.75x20....

Just because you have "had" something in your car before, doesnt mean it was properly done. We have all seen the trunks with 4 15's, or 6 12's in them, but you need to realize 1 15 or 2 12s in a proper box will smash those due to how poor the enclosure is (volume and port wise). A single 15 in a proper box will destroy a single 18 in a terrible box, not to mention the 15 will be more efficient (less voltage drop, happier sub, and happier amp).

Anywhere from $400 to $700 on one 18" subwoofer... My amp is HCCA 5000.1D ...5480 RMS @ 1 Ohm.... My dimensions would be 32Wx15Hx20D

that low depth is idea killer if you could add 10 more inches you could work with a 15"

with that little of a box your best option is a big boy 12", fi audio sp4 needs 2-3 cubic feet

In my head i'm still stuck on i've had 2 15's in a ported box in my trunk before ... If I went with longer depth I would have trouble sitting box inside the trunk but would have extra room if u know what i'm saying. ---> I'm trying to avoid getting a box assembled in my trunk.

if u wanna run that kinda power 5k rms all day ur better fof having several smaller subwoofers to dissipate th heat better between several voice coils
