Slinky
fuck yeah it does. I was pretty pissed. Igot it for $630 bucks off ebay shipped a couple months ago and it bumped like hell. the kicker guys said i had a pretty good electrical set up(4 batts 1/0 kicker flex cable) but he said my stock alt wasnt keepin up and it fried the power and ground connections inside my amp. anyway, for the time being, i ordered a pa3000db to bump with. i like that amp despite it being overrated. You guys will prolly kill me for this but my subs are 4 12 inch mofos. i got em cheap and actually i am fairly impressed with em. people say they dont hit and dont get the lows but in my setup, they did amazing, and they handled 100 watts over their rms rating wich is good to know. Audio Doc
'but he said my stock alt wasnt keepin up and it fried the power and ground connections inside my amp. ' I hope that wasn't thier 'technical explanation' because it's pretty piss poor with just a hint of minty bullshit.. - Matt Quote FTW?

Pokey
In other words, they kinda said it's your fault for not upgrading your alt. Which shouldn't have been the problem. IMO it was something with the amp that just kinda "let go" and decided to take a shit on you. Either find a local shop with a good rep for fixing amps, or find someone you know won't mess it up and get them to do it. Parts are pretty cheap, it's the labor that most places screw you on.
