Too much bass locks up headunit

Certain songs will pop the entire faceplate off in mine.....it's an alpine 9887.

Another option would be to build a center console.....something that's more secure than the dash.

Btw, setup looks nice. I don't know anything about those subs but I'm a fan of flat walls.

ive seen the same thing on my excelon it has to do with how the faceplate conducts to the head unit itself

I resized the box down to around 30 cu @ 32hz. Very happy with the results. Doing a lot of maintenance/tune up stuff on the truck, then getting it painted soon.
