What is holding my system back?

Recommended Posts

I would try to open it up around the bottom as much as possible, the way it is now it could be trying to act as a bandpass.

That being said a lot of people's definition of "music" is a clipped 30 hz sine wave with some 80 IQ knuckle head grunting about committing crimes and his genitals.

Its open in front of and behind the subs... i can try opening it up more but i also just plugged the aux cord in for the first time with these subs and it made a pretty big differance over bluetooth.. but the aux cord makes a hissing noise from my phone (damn androids) so i went back to bluetooth, but downloaded a bluetooth volume app and now its just as loud as aux without the hissing.. definatly an improvement but honestly still kinda disapointed if this is all the output im gonna get from 2200 watts! Its not that much louder then my old setup (single 12" type r on around 700 ish watts)

id probably make another box with subs and port facing up and see how it acts then. yeah its like a 50 dollarish experiment and it looks like its easy enough to remove and install.

I thought about upfiring the subs but i couldnt do that because i need my arm rest lol .. i think it might be the speaker wire because when i first turn them on theyre crazy loud but after a while of play the output goes down (as the small wire gets hot?) So ill probably pull the box out to carpet it, open it up a little more at the bottom, and replace my 14 gauge with the 8 gauge i have laying around this week or weekend.. hopefully it helps
